2019 Competition

AUI welcomes 6 pastry chefs to present their take on a Secret Garden for a live competition!

A team of seasoned judges will select 6 finalists from a preliminary round of plated dessert recipe submissions featuring your take on a Secret Garden. Those 6 finalists will then be flown into AUI’s corporate headquarters near Washington, D.C. for three rounds of live competition. At the end of the three rounds, a cumulative score will be calculated to award title of AUI Pastry Cup Champion and a $5,000 grand prize.

The live competition will test the finalist’s creativity, technique, and workmanship over the course of two days. Disciplines will include: plated dessert, frozen dessert, verrines, petit gateau and entremets. At the end of the second day, all scores will be tallied and a final winner will be announced.
