Inside Sales Representative

The Inside Sales Rep will be assigned to grow customer base by selling AUI products and services, using Telemarketing model. The Inside Sales Rep will serve as an AUI Resource to our clients and industry. The Inside Sales Rep will build expert knowledge of the product assortment, brands and all services offered by AUI. The Inside Sales Rep will assist call center queue coverage.

Job Description

  • Develop sales and account management strategies per customer and product groupings. Develop efficient call schedules to cover the account base. Build name recognition for Company and self.
  • Reach or exceed all sales goals as directed by Sales Management. Reactivate inactive customers in multiple geographic areas and sales regions.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with assigned accounts. Maintain existing business and help with customer service troubleshooting and resolution. Cooperate with Gastro reps to manage all transactions within assigned account base. Implement sales and account management strategies and tactics as directed by Sales Management.

Qualifications

  • Culinary experience or College Degree in business, marketing/sales, or other; or food degree or equivalent; or one year sales experience (or 1 plus years foodservice experience) preferred.
  • Baseline Knowledge & Skills: Experience in and knowledge of food service or hospitality industry, relationship-based sales, culinary experience, customer service.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, entrepreneurial attitude.
  • General computer skills (Excel, Word).

Distribution Center Associate  - Gaithersburg, Maryland

AUI is currently seeking a hands on Distribution Center Associate to help assist with all aspects of the warehouse day-to-day operations of the facility store, and inventory product. Maintains all aspects of the Distribution Center as a part of a team led by the Distribution Center Manager (DCM).

Job Description

  • Receive and place all domestic and imported products into inventory within 24 hours of physical receipt. Report all discrepancies to the DCM as appropriate.
  • Receive and Process all Customer Returns within 48 hours and oversee re-stocking and or disposition.
  • Ensure all stock is properly stored (by FIFO) and protected. Re-barcode as necessary
  • Pick, Pack and Ship all orders assigned, ensuring proper packing/labeling instructions are followed and appropriate packaging supplies.
  • Utilization of Warehouse Management (WMS) and Shipping Systems.
  • Ship via FEDEX and UPS Manifesting Systems, as well as Delivery Contractors and Common Carriers.
  •  Prepare Packing Supplies each day in preparation for the next day's activities.
  • Deliver "walk-in" orders to customers.
  • Maintain clean, safe and hygienic environment both within the warehousing area, as well as dock areas and perimeter of building.
  • Follow cleaning standards at all times.
  • Report all facility infrastructure issues to DCM or Assistant in a timely manner.
  • Assist with Customer Service requests for product or services (order entry, stock availability, item locations)
  • Professional attitude and appearance is mandatory.
  • Operation of warehouse Material Handling equipment a plus (manual and motorized pallet jacks, etc.)
  • All other duties as may be assigned by the DCM or Assistant

Qualifications

  • 1-2 years of Warehousing/Shipping experience, Inventory Control, Organization Skills, Coordination, Decision Making, Problem Solving, Data Entry Skills (Must not be intimidated by computers), Safe work ethic, Fast Learner.
  • Must be able to lift 50 lbs.

Customer Service Representative - Gaithersburg, MD

The CSR will represent AUI Fine Foods internally and externally in all interactions with customers, vendors and sales reps. The CRS will act as a first point of contact for incoming telephone calls and email correspondence from internal and external customers. The CSR may be asked to cover duties within the customer service scope including Front Desk Reception.

Responsibilities and Duties

  • Represents the company in all customer interactions with a positive, competent and friendly demeanor.
  • Processes orders received through inbound phones calls and email correspondence with efficiency and accuracy.
  • Provides follow up support for orders processed, advises customers both internal and external of any changes, splits, updates and out of stock situations.
  • Provides follow up support to Accounting researching orders and payment issues that may arise from orders processed in Customer Service.
  • Keeps accurate and up to date account information in CRM and any other internal platforms related to customer accounts.
  • Updates Company’s voicemail system’s message on hold as needed
  • Maintains a good working knowledge of AUI products and services.
  • Troubleshoots customer service issues related to shipping, failed deliveries, product damage.
  • Maintains communication with warehouse staff regarding shipping requirements or other special instructions related to order processing.
  • Carries out any additional duties that may be assigned or requested.

Qualifications

  • Inbound call taking experience, or general customer service experience preferred.
  • Friendly, positive demeanor with ability to handle fast paced and time sensitive tasks.
  • Basic computer skills related to data entry, Excel, and Word. Previous experience with CRM platforms a plus.
  • HIGH level of attention to detail and accuracy is required.
  • Knowledge of food service or related fields a plus.
