Jeanne Ruesch, Chair

Jeanne Ruesch is the former EVP and COO of Ruesch International, an international financial services company with a network of offices in the US and Europe. Founded in 1980 with her husband, Otto, the company was sold to a private equity firm in 2004. Ms. Ruesch is currently also the Chair of the Ruesch Family Foundation focusing primarily on medicine, education and the arts. In 2009, she established the Otto J. Ruesch Center for the Cure of Gastrointestinal Cancers at the Georgetown Lombardi Comprehensive Cancer Center. She has served in board leadership positions with a wide range of organizations including the National Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, The John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, Georgetown University, Georgetown Hospital, Georgetown University’s Institute for Women, Peace and Security, Gonzaga College High School, Washington Jesuit Academy, Washington Performing Arts, The Corcoran Museum and School of Art, and Catholic Charities.

Lois Haber

Lois Haber is the co-founder and retired CEO/President of Delaware Valley Financial Services, Inc., a technology focused, leading third party administrator to the insurance industry of variable and fixed annuities and variable life insurance. Her extensive philanthropic work has included the National Association of Women Business Owners (NAWBO), the Center for Women's Business Research (formerly the National Foundation for Women's Business Owners (NFWBO), where she was the Chair for 2 years, Girl Scouts of Southeastern PA, Main Line Animal  Rescue and Arcadia University where she was Chair of the Board for 5 years. Currently Ms. Haber is the Chair of the Advisory Board for Arcadia University's School of Global Business and a Director of AUI’s Board. Lois Haber earned a B.A. from Beaver College, as well as CLU and ChFC designations from the American College.

Jennifer Schäpper-Uster

Jennifer Schäpper-Uster owns and runs Büro Lokal Coworking in Switzerland and is the co-founder and president of the national association, Coworking Switzerland. She has extensive experience working with small and medium-sized business enterprises, such as Kybun, Spring Switzerland, and Schwinn/Scott Sports Group. Ms. Schäpper-Uster received a B.A. in Business Administration with a focus in International Management from Boston University and a Masters of International Management from the University of Lausanne in Switzerland.

Thomas P. Staudt

Thomas Staudt has been involved in the private equity sector serving in various senior executive capacities for nearly 25 years. He has specialized in turnarounds, mergers and acquisitions, strategic re-positioning and revenue growth assignments. Most recently, Mr. Staudt returned to the United States after spending 4.5 years headquartered in Amsterdam, where he served as CEO of GlobalCollect, B.V., one of the largest global cross-border payment processors with business offices and clients throughout the US, EU, Asia and South America. GlobalCollect, B.V., was eventually sold to a large French public company. Mr. Staudt holds a Bachelor of Science in International Security Affairs from the United States Naval Academy in Annapolis, Maryland and a Master of Business Administration from San Francisco State University in San Francisco, California. He was named an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year in 1999.

Philipp Braun

Philipp Braun joined AUI in 1998 as President and CEO after a successful consulting career in his native Switzerland. After receiving his Bachelor and Master’s degrees at Zurich’s renowned Federal Institute of Technology, ETH, and his MBA at GBSA Zurich, Mr. Braun founded Ensytec in 1990 and served over fifteen of Switzerland’s leading food manufacturers.  Before coming to the U.S., he also served as a Captain in the Swiss Army. AUI has quadrupled in size during his tenure.
